10.96 mile "rounding error"

I just recalculated my total mileage on my spreadsheet, then used a much smaller scale on the map (2000 feet per inch), and I re-measured my total distance more carefully to find out where I am supposed to be on the map.  Well, with all the added little twists and turns on the map that apparently got rounded off with a larger scale per inch, I've lost 10.96 miles that I need to make up.  So, for the next 2 days I am going to take a break from blogging, put in the 10.96 miles that I've missed, and then pick up my route on the blog where I left off, just across the Gila River.  From now on I will use the smaller scale for measuring distance traveled.  So, I'll see you all back here as soon as I crank out the 10.96 miles to catch up, which should be on Saturday!
